This stand is very good in context of its price range, but I thought I should let in on a few issues that may bug people.
I got the silver, but it's not really silver as you would expect. Nothing like the picture above looks, which looks like matte aluminum--it's not that shiny. Think navy hardware grey with some sparse sparkles and you're not far off. I ended up re-painting it with a hammered dark bronze spray since it looked so out of place in my room. YMMV.
The stand is reasonably sturdy, but you can shift the columns out of a straight alignment if you twist it. In a way, this is actually good since you can adjust it and it will stay perfectly straight, unlike slightly off single column designs which if not done right, you're borked. Ideally though, no stand should have this much play, but again, the price makes it hard to argue.
The spike and disc set is really hard to work with, and not very useful. Ended up cobbling together my own feet with some thick felt/foam and rubber pads to set them on a hardwood floor.
It's huge, bulky, and massive as you would expect. This thing will get noticed. Still, quite satisfied with stand, and may get another set in the future.

I'm using the stands with an older pair of B&W 600 large bookshelf speakers. I added sand to the hollow supports in the stands which I think is a noticable improvement. I'm very pleased with the construction, appearance, performance, and especially the price. You can't go wrong!

As mentioned.... the image of the product looks like it's polished stainless steel. When they arrived, it was a grey matt finish. Somewhat disappointed. But the sturdiness is top notch!

I am extremely satisfied with the VTI UF stands that I purchased. I have found them to be high quality, attractive, and sturdy (my bookshelf speakers are 55 lbs each). They were easy to assemble, but using the wire management feature was a little tricky; but once I did the first one, the second was easy. The stands are generally stable, but it would have been nice if the base plate and top plate were an inch larger in each dimension.I got a great price [...] through Racks and Stands, with free shipping. I highly recommend both the stands and store.
