The stands are very stable and can support a variety of speakers. The only drawback, and a minor one at that, is in order to hide the cables the running of the wire through tube openings can be a bit frustrating. However, when it's all done and set up the stands are about the best I have seen for the money and am very satisfied.

It took awhile to find the types of speakers stands I was looking for, and the searching paid off. I used playsand to fill the speaker stands, then used a small piece of wood with a hole drilled in, fed the wire through the hole then hot glued the wood to the stand and around the speakerwire.

I'm using the stands to hold up a pair of JBL studio 38's. The speaker stand setup was a breeze. They are very sturdy, they have a nice way to route cables through the stand (you cannot load them with sand/shot if you do this).
