It took a long search to find these, and they are almost exactly what I was looking for. They were easy to set up, they are thin and simple enough to blend into the background but sturdy enough to feel safe for my heavier than normal speakers, and they are pretty attractive in silver if you like an industrial look. And I was really happy with the configurability of the rectangular top plate since I could rotate it to accommodate my Cambridge S305s which are wide and squat. :)
The only cons I can suggest are aesthetic, and may be subjective. The "VTI" on the base plate is plasticky and ugly, and I haven't found a way to pry it off. The tension knob and the collar are black, so it makes an otherwise unobtrusive stand more noticeable and a little cheaper looking, and finally I don't personally like the powder coat and would have been willing to pay more for a polished finish that would give the stands a more premium feel.
But for the cost and compared to the other bulky, ugly stands available, they are definitely a great and attractive buy. I got four for my four rears (speakers :). - mt
