Being on a tight budget, I had to order low-end speaker stands and you get what you pay for (though I don't have a high-end sound system). The parts come predrilled and assembly looked simple. It wasn't. Like others, I had a hard time lining up the parts with the predrilled holes in the pressed wood. I split one piece when the screw missed the hole and had to glue it together. I lined up another piece by inserting paper clips into the predrilled holes with a flashlight and my partner's help. On another part I gave up and just used three out of four screws. Once assembled they do look nice. If you're handy with tools, feeling lucky and on a tight budget these stands might be for you.

However, the Plastic Carpet spikes that came with the shipment are cheap and not up to the quality of the rest of the product.
